There are so many times I wish you who read this would post comments or suggestions. Today is another one of those days, so please feel free to add all you want (any time for that matter!)
As prices go up on gas and food (everything), we're all trying to spend less and trying to get as much as we can out of each dollar. The other day I spoke about working for free and how it most certainly DOES add up to savings in our household.
I took my mother to the dentist the other day, and when I went to put her walker up in the back of the van, she noticed a penny laying on the ground. How many of us simply leave it there, thinking it doesn't matter, it's ONLY a PENNY! I used to pick them up, but had quit doing so for whatever reason, tired, in a hurry etc.
I think it's time we start picking up those pennies and putting them in a jar. You know they're there, just pick them up and see how many you accululate in a years time. We all might be surprised! Pennies just seem to APPEAR at our house. I scoop them up, teasing my husband that any loose change is my tips so don't expect me to put them in his personal change jar.
The worth of small things will probably become more important to us as time goes by. There are so many other small things we need to be careful to collect (and share freely) as well. Things like smiles, kindness, fresh produce, something homemade, friendship, complements, patience (preaching to myself here).
Hope you all have a wonderful day. Please add on anything you can. It would be much appreciated. We'll all read it, I see there are 20-34 readers per day.
