I have to say that we've successfully brought back a simplicity into our lives that has taken away most of the stresses of everyday living. When you understand bartering, you find more joy in giving someone else what they want in return for what you need. For example, the well pump has gone down where we live. My husband has a couple of rebuilt pumps set aside for just such a thing. This evening he is going to talk to our landlord/park manager about replacing their well pump in exchange for a month or two lot rent. Another lady here gets her electric free because she cleans the fish house and laundry room. There are ways to cut down living expenses and cut out the stress associated with ever rising cost of living. I've been cooking very simple meals, discovered the joys of buying a whole case of old bread for a dollar to feed wild birds, fish and turtles (bigtime stress breaker). Life is not so bad when you try to make it as meaningful as possible. If you practice voluntary simplicity in everyday life, then when there isn't much money it's not a drag to live simply. It's worked for us, and it works for so many others. Hope you have a wonderfully simple day today!! Elaine/Admin
