NACK'S SOAP RECIPE
For all of you that believe all soap supplies must be weighed, you most likely won't believe this one, but think about it; what did they do before digital scales? They measured. This recipe is so easy and is usable almost at once. I have many long time soapers switched over to this recipe, so please try it. The way of making it is the same as all others so I won't get my hands hurting typing that out, just the amounts 2 cups of whatever fats you want, veg types only 3/4 cup of good water, distilled is great, I use spring 1/4 cup of lye I tend to triple the batch. (scents)My favorites are Grey Flannel and dragons blood. But the blackberry's are great, Arabian spice I like and sell a lot of . I use large glass measuring bowls. I heat the oils/fats to totally melted in the nuker and add the lye to the water and stir (outside or well vented) with wood spoon. When the sides of both containers are comfortable to hold in my hands I slowly pour the lye water into the fats and stir to trace ( when dripping it off the spoon it leaves a design). this can take 10 mins or several hours. At this point, the slightest trace, add any colors or scents/EOs etc, and pour into the mold. Cover with a towel and let sit over night and put it in the freezer for 30 mins and it comes out of the mold easier. I use Pam on the mold. N
