Wonderful Tea I was sitting here wondering what to post on this morning. Remembering what my dad said about making tea from the new growth of pine tree made me do a quick internet search to see if anyone else does this. Sure enough, they do. Turns out that Spruce, Pine or Fir tree tips are very high in vitamin C in the spring new growth. Spring is the time you can gather (only what you feel you will need) to dry for your needs throughout the year. After drying you can chop it up to make it easier to get one teaspoonful per cup, but I wouldn't powder it unless you have tea bags to put it in. Use one teaspoon of dried herb and pour one cup of boiling water over it. Let it steep for about 5 minutes before. Free vitamin C and free of fillers, pesticides and such. Enjoy!! Elaine/listmom

Also, don't forget that organic orange, tangerine, lemon, grapefruit peel with the white pith removed and only the colored peeling with a little white on it dried then ground in a coffee grinder makes good tea or added to hot cereal is another source of free vitamin C. Elaine
