In my house, we're learning to downsize a little more. When we found out our electric rate is close to .20 per killiwatt(they say it's because it's "on demand" in the RV park), whether it's hot or not, it's time to turn off that air conditioner and go sit on the porch or someone's dock!!! They might have got me with a huge bill one month, but it's not going to happen again. It just came out of nowhere going up like that.
The TV isn't getting turned on until evening most days. Gotta do whatever you have to do to keep expenses livable. I would give my eye teeth for a job right now, and would work cheerfully too. We went to a local grocery a couple days ago, and the young employees looked so glum, you wondered why they even bothered to go to work. Obviously work is cutting into their social life ;D Sort of funny to a fifty something like me.
There are still many things I want to learn in life. I've never perfected making biscuits from scratch, want to learn more old time handcrafts, and want to learn to fish. There's probably a lot more things that can be added to the list, but just baby steps every day works pretty well.
