I live in Florida, and we do have a dented food store. It's called Harvest Pantry. For long term food storage I am putting away cans and bottled foods. For dried foods, I am buying these brand new from the local grocery store, freezing the dry stuff, then thawing, before putting in containers. I hear the flour products should be in the freezer for a month? Not sure. But when I used to work for Martha's House (an abused spouse center) I remember that we'd sometimes get pastas that bugs hatched out and drilled out of...eeeeek. I had NO idea that could happen. So thats why I buy the dried stuff brand new, not from a dent and bent food place. Whatever I buy from a dent and bent food store, must be something we will eat quickly within the next two weeks or I won't buy it. Elaine/Happycat
