Don't know where you are, but it's a wet Wednesday here in Florida. People are putting up their decorations, and everywhere you look everything looks happy. I made a very good split pea loaf last night. Didn't even know you could do such a thing. You just cook a pound of split peas and a chopped large onion covered with water until they are soft, then strain off all the water. Stir in two large lightly beaten eggs, season with salt, oregano flakes or marjoram. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until it's set. Serve with catsup. Very good. My hubby got sausage with his. Also had salad. Good way to eat split peas without making soup and very economical as well. I hope you have a wonderful day! Elaine
