I made this for supper tonight and hubby ate almost half a pan of it.
1 pound fried ground meat (we use burger or sausage) 28 ounce can tomato sauce or equivalent spices to taste Brown meat with spices (this intensifies the spice flavor and aroma), add sauce. Simmer.
Mix together: 16 ounces of cottage cheese 1/2 cup parmesan cheese 1 egg ground black pepper
You'll also need 8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
Cook lasagna noodles (or, if you're in a lazy mood like I was tonight, use the no-boil ones ;D)
Use a 9 by 13 inch baking dish or pan. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Pour enough of the sauce mix on the bottom of the pan to cover it. Put a layer of noodles on top of the sauce. Put about 1/2 the cheese mix on top of the noodles. Over that, sprinkle 1/2 of the mozzarella cheese. Put 1/2 of the remaining sauce on top of the cheeses. Add another layer of noodles, then cheese mixture, then mozzarella cheese, then the rest of the sauce. You can sprinkle mozzarella cheese or parmesan cheese on top if you like.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes. Let sit for 10 mintues or so to firm up before serving.
Good stuff! Hubby doesn't like to let it cool and will eat it while it's still kinda soupy.
