I suppose this tip is only good if you don't have to be home with children, elderly parents or spouse, and can volunteer your services somewhere away from home each day or a good part of each week.
Since jobs are so hard to find money is so tight, I found a way to loosen up that stranglehold a bit. I have volunteered my time where I can be picked up and be gone all day. At first I thought it was terrible that there was no money involved until I saw our utility bills.
Not only has our electric bill gone down drastically, but our water useage, and even the food bill has been reduced. We're not even having to buy as much toilet paper because wherever I am, they have toilet paper (as well as water and a microwave to heat lunch).
So if you haven't thought about volunteering your time, you might just want to look into it. It's not as bad as you thought after all, and it really really feels good to help out. Sure money would help too, but for now, this is working.
Just thought you might like to know..... Elaine
