Easy cooked dressing for potato salad or slaw (makes 1 8 oz jar) for use with other salads, thin with a little cream 2 tbsp butter 6 tbsp sugar 2 tsp salt 2 tsp prepared mustard 4 eggs pinch white pepper 1 cup white vinegar 1. Cream butter and sugar in a heavy saucepan until smooth. Cream in salt, pepper, and mustard. 2. Beat in eggs. 3. Slowly stir in vinegar. 4. Cook over direct heat, stirring all the time. 5. As soon as mixture boils and thickens, remove from heat. Store in refrigerator.
