Save those grocery receipts and take a good look at them at the end of a month. What items did you buy the most of? Make a list of those items and make sure you work on putting those items in large quantity in your pantry. There could be a hurricane, there could be a tornado, you could lose your job, but you'll be able to eat. I want you to take care of yourself and your family. It's harder and harder to do that. We can't depend on being able to grow food, and we can't depend on food always being available, from the things we're hearing on the news. Try like crazy to put away food. I know it's hard. If one little thing goes wrong, there goes everything you put away. How do I know? Been there just recently....it's hard to put it back too once it's used up. Keep trying, never give up. Hugs, Elaine

Thanks for the advice. It was warm and helpful one. This for a better and smarter grocery buying. We all know that the biggest household expense outside of housing and power is the food. It is arguably the most essential, as humans are completely capable of surviving without a ton of things though food is not among them. There are, however, many ways to save money on groceries.
