I'll admit, I haven't had a chance to try this yet, only heard about it yesterday, but I want to. There's only two of us in our house, but I think we go through toilet paper way too fast. Here's the tip. It would work better for larger families, if everyone will do it right and not clog up the toilet. Okay, we know cloth diapers work for babies. Cloth is washable. So flannel stitched around the edges so it won't fray work well. The post I read where one lady does this for her children, she puts three layers of flannel together, for me, I think that's too thick. Might change my mind if I try it, we'll see. I'll try one layer and see how that works. Maybe it's about making it easy to hand onto so the wipe doesn't fall into the toilet when little hands are using them? Make a bunch of them. This is for tinkle purposes only. Wipe and put into a container until you have enough to wash in the washing machine. My husband said why not just buy cloth diapers and cut those into wipie sized squares. Yeah, but they'd still have to be thick enough and sewn so they don't unravel. This means I have to blow the dust off my sewing machine!!! LOL Elaine/happycat

Okay people, I've officially gone and made these flannel wipes and can honestly say they are wonderful. They will last for a VERY long time. Used for urine only, this saves big time. It's too tempting to take that roll of toilet paper for granted, and mom and dad need to nip that waste in the bud. We need to appreciate saving a buck because it's worth it in the long run. happycat/Cat
