A lot of people are afraid of kerosene heaters, but in truth we've all been fed a lot of negative hype about them by the heating industries. I happen to heat exclusively with one in upstate NY for just pennies on the dollars that neighbors spend on running a furnace, but for others, it could be the ideal emergency heat source. Kerosene is easy and safe to store outdoors or even in a garage or basement. True, it's no longer economical or what I would call a "green" alternative, but sometimes and especially in an emergency situation getting the most out of what fuel you can get is as important as what the fuel is. Before you shake your head and swear that a kero heater isn't for you, read this informative and intensive article. For all the information be sure to follow the links at the bottom of the first article. www.endtimesreport.com/kerosene_heaters.htmlwww.endtimesreport.com/kerosene_fuel_primer.html

Raven I'm SO HAPPY you posted this!! I didn't know that about kerosene that this is two kinds, and have to talk to hubby about this possibility. It gets very cold in our home in the winter, we don't have heat. Elaine/Happycat
