So you feel the need to live and eat cheap, but don't have a clue where to begin? If you truly want to live cheap, you've got to be willing to make sacrifices. That means no eating out. You're going to fix your own food. Here goes
The cheap foods are rice, oatmeal, beans, potatoes, pasta, and homemade bread because flour is cheap.
Breakfast- one serving of oatmeal
Lunch-peanut butter and jelly sandwich
Dinner -one cup serving rice, one cup serving beans and one slice of homemade bread How much do you think you would save in a year eating like this?
Want to eat a little healthier? Make whole wheat bread and use brown rice.
Want some veggies and greens? Grow them in containers or make a little garden for yourself. Take yourself hunting or fishing to supplement your diet. Barter some work for meat or fish from someone who does hunt and fish. I actually know people who love to fish and won't eat the fish, same with hunting. Weirdest thing I ever heard of, but true. Well, you must have wanted to know how to eat cheap or you wouldn't have taken the time to read this. Hope it helps, this is one way to help yourself when in a bind, needing to save money for something and you don't know where the money could come from etc. I see my elderly parents eat like this. They are in their late 80's and very healthy.
