This was my MIL's recipe. It didn't call for being waterbathed canned, just said to put the hot mixture in the hot jars and they would seal. If you want to make it, do it however you are comfortable processing it. I triple batch it in a huge pot when I make it. I figure if I'm going through the work I'm only going to do it once Chili Sauce 20 tomatoes, skin removed and crushed 6 large onions, chopped 10 to 12 Hot peppers chopped. Seeds in makes hotter sauce. (for less spicy sauce omit seeds and use half sweet peppers) 4 cups vinegar 3 tblsp. Salt 5 cups sugar Easy recipe - Add everything to the pot. Cook until thick. Pour into hot quart jars. Put lids and screw caps on. Heat will seal jars.
