I'm tickled pink!!! A friend of my DH sent him home with some new feather-friends for me. Some Silkies!!! I've always wanted some but they are always too $$$. They are sooo darn cute and silly I just keep grinning ear to ear when I look at them. All my chickens basically free range and fend for themselves, I don't have to do anything special for them aside from toss them some feed every day to keep them coming home at night. Are the silkies more delicate in any ways I should know about? Do they at least lay half way decently so they'll do something to earn their keep aside from just making me smile? Are they good brooders so I can look forward to my flock growing? Too many questions??? LOL!!! I'm a little excited ;D

Raven you lucky little duck!!! Yeah from what I hear they're good egg layers, and since they're banties, I bet they'll be good little mothers too. How cool!!!! Silkies are so beautiful, I've never had any but have admired pics of them. No, they aren't delicate, they just look like it. Congrats on your new additions!!!!! I think you're going to get a lot of joy out of them every day! Elaine
