I got flour all over myself during my double bread-making adventures this morning. I'm going to have to go look and see if I have a full-front or bib-style apron pattern in my pattern stash, or else I can use hubby's from work when he brings it home this weekend so I can wash it - I can make a template from that and alter it to fit me. I can't be doing this 2-outfit-a-day thing...though I did have to change anyhow because kneading makes me sweat, and sweating makes me stink, and stinking rubs off on my clothes...

Miss Thing, I wanna be you when I grow up....!!! You do all kinds of interesting things. My sewing machine is just sitting here gathering dust. I do have an apron, but I can't reach around my BEHIND to tie it, so will have to come up with something I can just slip over my head....now I gotta think about it since you brought it up!!!!! hehehehe

Hullo?
You make one with extra-long ties that come back around to the front, and you tie them THERE!
;D

I don't know about you, but I REFUSE to grow up. It's boring. Too much to do, too many things to learn, too many grandbabies to play with, and besides, in the spring, as I remind my hubby every day at least 3 times, I'M GETTING CHICKENS!!!!

STOP,my sides are hurting from laughing!!!! Okay okay, I'll go FIX that apron of mine. I could even put elastic on the waist ties so when I pull it on, it will hug my waist, I'll have to add extra material to make the ties come around to the front. I'm excited to go look in the cheapie material section at Walmart now!!!! LOL Great ideas.....!!!!

Or, you could put it on backwards and then work it around to the front, kinda like I used to do with my bra...don't know where I got that from; I think it was my mom.

I have two aprons and I could use some more. They're always in the wash. I wear them all the time when I'm cleaning or cooking in the kitchen. I love aprons with pockets so I can stick my towel in there too.
Tricia, take your jumper pattern and just make the front of it, add ties to the neck and sides and TA DA..... a nice full coverage apron.
HOW EXCITING that you are getting chickens! I can't wait to hear all about them.
I still live in the city. I joined the yahoo group to learn all I can about living out in the country since my Husband and I will be moving there in three years. I'd love to have chickens when we move. I'm up North though so I have to learn about how to take care of them in the winter too.
Ok, my rest time is over. I better get that salsa started.
