(I'm so thankful Raven and Donna posted this on the big list because I learned something new today!!) Elaine/Happycat
I grew up taking strips of inner bark from pine tree branches to chew on for a refreshing "tonic" as well as in brewed teas and using the new green tips in teas. Some people think it tastes horrid, but I LOVE the taste of pine. Maybe it's an aquired taste... or maybe it's just cultural and it's in my genes to like it. As a kid I used to try to share with friends and only managed to gross them out. LOL!!

Plain old pine tree is as good or better- three needles worth has enough to meet your daily requirments. Just steep in hot water a few minutes and drink. The tender new shoots of emerging needles are really high in vitamin C- tart and with just a bit of piney/rosemarry taste.
